I’m a blogger and writer whose essays have been published on The Huffington Post, The Washington Post, Pulse Voices and republished on SheSavvy.com . I blog on this site about the process of writing and trying to get published. I also blog about search marketing and self-employment on my professional web site at www.twelvethousandllc.com.
My first two novels, DOORWAYS TO ARKOMO and DOORWAYS HOME were released in 2014 and are available for purchase on Amazon. I’m currently working on my latest novel, SPIRITWOOD, the first book in the CUT, BURN, POISON trilogy. I’m seeking agent representation for this book, though at the moment I’ve stopped querying so I can focus on an extensive revision.
I live in New York’s Mid Hudson Valley (about 90 miles north of Manhattan), with my husband, two daughters (ages 12 and 15), two cats and our recently acquired puppy, Roo. My older daughter has been battling a rare form of cancer for nearly five years, and many of my characters are inspired by her strength and determination to live life to the fullest. My goal in writing books that feature children and adolescents dealing with cancer is to give very ill children characters they can identify with while also casting them in roles where they get to be an epic hero.
